July 2012 - Williams Purchases New Trimble Harrier 68i

Williams becomes the first company in the region to own this revolutionary System. The Harrier 68i has a very high pulse repetition rate that enables users to generate the densest of point clouds. The Trimble Harrier wide angle full waveform digitization laser scanning system combined with a medium format digital frame camera makes this system the perfect tool for wide area mapping, transmission corridor mapping, pipeline monitoring, transportation survey, aerial survey and other demanding remote sensing operations. The inbuilt full waveform digitization features of the Harrier 68i enable the user to extract the most exact and comprehensive vertical information from the acquired echo signals. The Harrier 68i integrated digital medium format frame camera has been designed to generate geometrically and radiometrically consistent high quality RGB digital imagery.

 

July 2012 - Williams is awarded contract extension with the State of Indiana

The Department of Natural Resources Division of Reclamation awarded Williams a contract extension to provide Aerial Photography, LIDAR, Topographic mapping and Digital Ortho Rectification.

 

April 2012 - Williams Purchases 10th aircraft

Latest Aircraft is a Cessna 337 to be used for Lidar and digital sensor collection

 

Lidargrammetry is added to the list of services provided by Williams

Light detection and ranging (LIDAR) intesity values are used to create stereo pairs allowing them to be viewed in our photogrammetric workstations.  

 

July 2011 - Williams is awarded contract with the State of Indiana

The Department of Natural Resources Division of Reclamation awarded Williams a contract to provide Aerial Photography, LIDAR, Topographic mapping and Digital Ortho Rectification.

 

Digital Video Camera in Cessna 172 completes first Pipeline Right of Way Project

The new digital video camera system completes its first project covering 300 miles of right of way in Minnesota. Delivery included software to view GIS base map on one side of the panel with the streaming video on the other side with position and attitude shown on the GIS map. 

 

Williams works with Waterborne Environmental to complete photography in 9 states

Williams completed photography in 9 different states from Texas and Louisiana, to Indiana and Ohio.  Project includes color digital images and ortho rectification.


Wexford County and the City of Cadillac Michigan select Williams for digital orthophotography project

Williams will complete 3 different flight scales/pixel resolution/accuracy levels for the County/City project.  From 50 scale with color 3" pixels covering Cadillac to County coverage of 200 scale with 6" pixels.

 

February 2010 - LaGrange County Indiana selects Williams to complete Countywide ortho images

Countywide 6" pixel color orthos will be provided.  Delivery of TIF/TFW & SID/SDW along with metadata

 

January 2010 - One of the planes gets outfitted with a new digital video camera system

Williams purchases a digital video camera system and gimbal mount and installs it in a Cessna 172.  The camera system will support right of way management projects.  

 

 

October 2009 - Williams completed Photogrammetry project covering Nuclear Plant

Williams was selected by Paducah Remediation Services to complete LiDAR, Ortho photography and Topographic/Planimetric Mapping of the Gas Defusion Nuclear Plant for the DOD. 

 

March 2009 - Williams completes Southern Indiana Photography

A block of 6 Counties located in Southwest Indiana was successfully flown March 2009.  Project included Airborne GPS and color imagery for digital ortho photography production. A considerable project to complete before leaf out in this region.

 

March 2009 - INDOT Certifies Williams for Photogrammetry

Indiana Department of Transportation provides certification to Williams for Photogrammetric Mapping, LIDAR and GIS Mapping.

 

February 2009 Illinois DNR Selects Williams Aerial & Mapping, Inc.
Williams is awarded contract with Illinois DNR – Division of Reclamation.  Aerial Photography, Ground Control and Photogramemtric mapping will be completed on 19 sites throughout the state.

 

Spring 2009 - Indiana Counties contract with Williams to provide countywide orthos

Williams is awarded contracts with 8 Indiana Counties to provide 6" pixel, color digital orthophotography from a Spring 2009 flight.

 

January 2009 - Williams adds another softcopy workstation

Datum Summit Evolution was added to our mapping production department.

 

August 2008 - Camera Calibration Completed

In August 2008 Williams flew into Leesburg, VA airport and took camera system to the USGS optical lab for the completion of our camera calibration.  Most projects require this completed within every 3 years.

 

April / May 2008 - Williams Aerial & Mapping sends 2 to ASPRS conference

James Moffitt and Andrew Williams made the trip to Portland for the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Annual conference.  

 

May 2008 - Williams is awarded contract with the State of Indiana

The Department of Natural Resources Division of Reclamation awarded Williams a contract to provide Aerial Photography, LIDAR, Topographic mapping and Digital Ortho Rectification.

 

April 2008 - Williams provides Aerial Platform for GEOSPAN Corporation

GEOSPAN Corporation contracts with Williams to complete digital oblique imagery of Kane County, IL.

 

April 2008 - Williams to complete GIS base mapping for Sandwich, IL

Etscheid, Duttlinger & Associates awards Williams the contract to provide City GIS Base Mapping for Sandwich, IL.   Project includes the completion of contours, planimetric detail and high resolution digital ortho images.

 

Orange County, Indiana will receive new Digital Orthophotogrpahy in 2008
Orange County, Indiana has selected Williams to provide new digital orthophotography covering the county.  County wide color 6” digital ortho photos will be provided in 2008.

 

March 2008 Illinois DNR Selects Williams Aerial & Mapping, Inc.

Williams has another Certified Photogrammetrist on staff
December 2007, Rick Kosinski, our General Manager, becomes a Certified Photogrammetrist through the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS).

 

February 2007
Williams is awarded a contract with Western Illinois University to complete digital orthophotography covering Warren and McDonough Counties in Illinois

 


 January 2007
Williams purchases third aircraft.  Aircraft was modified with a pod to complete digital oblique imagery.


February 2007
Williams is awarded first Federal Aerial Photography Contract.  The Aerial Photography Field Office (APFO) awarded Williams the USDA FS-04-07 project in Mississippi. 

 


July 2006
Williams purchases second aircraft and modifies it to complete digital oblique imagery.

 

Countywide Orthophotography
Countywide Digital Orthophotography starting as low as $50 per land section using an existing DEM or $130 per land section with DEM and road centerlines.
